The Department’s Mission is to

To educate young law graduates in maritime laws which allowthemtocritically evaluate the laws and legal systems pertaining to the seasofworld from a Juristic perspective.
To provide expertise in areas arising out of international disputes undermaritime and allied laws and to prepare the students for marine lawyering.
To render opportunities to lawyers to learn and analyze the theoretical andpractical aspects of maritime laws.
To equip students with comprehensive and interdisciplinary approachestowards emerging challenges in the field and related laws and tofacilitatein expanding their research acumen.
