06.09.2021 - The Hon’ble Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu in the presence of the Hon’ble Minister for Law, Courts & Prisons and Prevention of Corruption and the Pro-Chancellor of the Tamil Nadu Dr. Ambedkar Law University inaugurated the additional U.G. Block at Perungudi Campus, constructed from the University fund at the cost of Rs.13 crores through Video Conferencing on 06.09.2021

24.01.2022 - The Government vide G.O.Ms.No. 28, Law (LS) Department dated 24.01.2022 sanctioned and released a sum of Rs. 46,58,980/- towards establishment of Audio and Visual Media Centre at the Perungudi Campus and now accessible for students use.

27.01.2022 - The Government vide G.O. Ms. No. 31, Law (LS) Department dated 27.01.2022 sanctioned a sum of Rs. 1,66,91,000/- towards establishment of 240 KW solar power plant at the Perungudi campus of the University and Completion of the work is expected shortly.

18.03.2022 -  The Government of Tamil Nadu have released the Block Grant for a sum of Rs.5,43,00,000/- as Block Grant -I for the year 2021-2022 vide G.O.(Ms.) No.138, Law (LS) Department, dated 18.03.2022.

23.09.2022 - The Director of Legal Studies vide Procee. No.2871/அ4/2022, dated 23.09.2022 released a sum of Rs.7,00,000/- to the Tamil Nadu Dr. Ambedkar Law University to conduct Faculty Development Programme for the teaching faculties working in the affiliated Government Law Colleges and the programme conducted from 24.06.2023 to 08.07.2023.

12.12.2023 -The Government of Tamil Nadu sanctioned a sum of Rs.65 lakhs vide G.O. (Ms.)No.746, Law (LS) Department, dated 12.12.2023, announced during the Law demand 2023-2024 towards purchase of books to the University Library and the University purchased the books and kept in the University Library.

22.01.2024 - The Government of Tamil Nadu sanctioned and released a sum of Rs.32,25,000/-vide G.O Ms.No.104, Law (LS) department, dated 22.01.2024 to conduct the ‘Art of Advocacy’ for the students 4^th year and final year of 5 year (Hons.) degree course and final year students of 3 year (Hons.) degree course of School of Excellence in Law  and also for the 4^th year and final year of 5 year degree course and final year students of 3 year degree course offered in the  Government Law College students in Tamil Nadu, enhancing their advocacy skills from 9th to 11th August, 2024.

20.02.2024 - A sum of Rs.8,80,000/- was sanctioned and released by the Government  vide G.O. (Ms.) No.285, Law (LS) Department, dated 20.02.2024  to the four students of School of Excellence in Law who attended the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court competition held from 08.04.2023 to 15.04.2023 at Washington, DC.

11.03.2024 -The Government of Tamil Nadu vide G.O.(Ms.)No.329,Law (LS) Department dated 11.03.2024 had released the Block Grant-I for a sum of Rs.5,43,00,000/- for the financial year 2023-2024.

22.10.2024 - The Government of Tamil Nadu has made an announcement during the Legislative Assembly held on 24.06.2024 for the “Construction of Boys hostel building at Perungudi “ for a total value of Rs.21.56 Crores with  50% Financial contribution of the University and 50% Financial Contribution of the Government, vide Lr.596/S/P/LS/2023 dt.22.10.2024.

The Government of Tamil Nadu had made an announcement during the Legislative Assembly held on 24.06.2024 to establish the “Student and Faculty Exchange program” in School of Excellence in Law for a sum of Rs.3 Crores.

04.12.2024 -The Government of Tamil Nadu sanctioned and released vide G.O. (Ms.) No.854/ Law (LS) Department, dated 04.12.2024 a sum of Rs.1,38,56,287/- towards exemption of the entire fees for the students of School of Excellence in Law who admitted under 7.5% Special Internal Reservation for Government School Students during the years 2021-2022 and 2022-2023.

Establishment of new branch “Cyber Space- law & Justice” as 10^th branch and “Maritime Law” as 11^th branch in the P.G. Department of School of Excellence in Law from the academic year 2021-2022

The University had also introduced two new Post Graduate departments in the name of  “Property Law” as 12^th Branch and “Crime and Forensic Law “ as 13^th branch in the P.G. department of the School of Excellence in Law from the academic year 2024-2025.

From the academic year 2024-2025, "சட்டத்தமிழ்" has been introduced in the second semester of 5-year B.A.LL.B. and 3-year LL.B. programs offered in affiliated law colleges of the Tamil Nadu Dr. Ambedkar Law University. English versions also provided for students who are not proficient in Tamil.
